What New with Newt?
Self

Posted on 01/27/2007 9:06:44 PM PST by Rembrandt

What's up with Newt?

Why is his face and voice all over the media nowadays?

Is he running for Prez? No, he's not running for Prez, IMHO.

He's running for VP. He can be a kingmaker and probably realizes that he has that role in his grasp. He can be an even more powerful VP than Dick Cheney.

Just imagine: Add a Gingrich VP role to a ticket headlined by a Pres. contender named Romney or Giuliani or McCain - the ticket has immediate gravitas, to use a lib word. With the Newt on the ticket, he addresses any and all weaknesses associated with the Pres. contender.

Newt for VP is a strong and natural selection.

My preference, Condi + Newt just ain't going to happen since she won't run, so I look to Newt to crown the next Republican King.

And where, dare I ask, should we put McCain?

In a padded room with Dean.

"two divorces and the circumstances surrounding them tarnish him greatly."

Circumstances created by the Dems and the MSM.

I would rather vote for a reptile than an amphibian.

With the presidential field the way it is, I almost think we should consider forgiving Jack Kemp for being about the worst vice presidential campaigner in history.

Kemp is the elder statesman of the party, even more than Newt is. Instrumental in the economic turnaround of the country under Reagan, and actually the leader in the tax rate reduction plank of the Republican Party.

I have never read where he denied his affair with Calista Bisek. Even if the circumstances were exaggerated by the MSM, we need a leader who has a strong moral character.

After reading front-line about Newt I never realized how much he did for the movement

That is the foremost reason I cannot vote for Rudy. I don't trust his judgment or his alliances one iota.

Newt is under rated except for all of his personal "baggage" that some FReepers love to talk about.

They should read:

I didn't think I should have to spell it out and I was tired. Unfortunately, whatever Rudy did or did not know about Kerik, it didn't look good when Kerik was "found out" AFTER having accepted the Homeland Security chief position.

He should never have had a security clearance to work in New York City as Police Commissioner, considering his background.

So, it does and it will, raise suspicions about Giuliani that will never go away. Yet he sails along in his bid for the presidency. IMO, he had his 15 minutes of fame.

One only needs to google the name Bernard Kerik a bit to find all sorts of stuff about the character, including business dealings with the Saudis.

The baggage is already out there.

He still is the only choice for me.

The rest are gun grabbers or mental patients.

Newt is absolutley the best candidate we have. He's smart, he's well read, cogent arguments. He'd debate any opponent under the table.

He also has bigger gonads than anyone else I can think of to stand up to the liars in DC and the MSM.

However, there are those who care more about his marital life than his qualififcations as President.
