Oh, I agree.
It's possible to separate one's accomplishments from one's dalliances and political beliefs.
Some make it awful hard tho.

Raisin in the sun was incredible. If you buy the play by Lorraine Hansberry in book form and then rent the 1961 movie version that has Poitier, you can literally read along with the movie line for line. Not one word of the original play was changed for the movie which is very rare as they always change something.
