Child nudity is fairly common in foreign films. America is held up as "prudish". The rest of the world has already lost its moral compass.
Proponents of the sex positive agenda seek to end all moral judgements over sexual pairings regardless of sex, age, relation, marital status, number, or species of partner(s) and seek to see everyone sexually active at every age. They see abstinence as an unhealthy supression of sexual desires.
Our own government pushes sex positive teaching. And some people actually believed that condoms in school was about disease. It was about forever ending the argument of IF teens should be having sex and focused it on WHEN.

Any movie that depicts raping a minor is just plain wrong. You know as well as I do that some pervert IS going to copy this and use this movie as an excuse for doing so!

I think the breakdown of the social fabric by Hollywho is our concern. So don't patronize their crap.

Whether it was for public or private consumption, the shooting of the footage may still have been criminal. This is why the involvement of the parents IS an issue. What makes the final edit is merely marketing.

There are fake severed body parts and blanks used in action/violence scenes. It is much rarer to use rubber castings of naked body parts.
There were attempts to even outlaw portrayls of simulated acts with persons made to appear to be minors.

The review doesn't discuss how the scene was filmed. Dakota Fanning herself said she did the scene by herself, with no other actor, and the director told her hold her breath, then breathe, and things like that. And that scene in the movie itself shows only her hands, feet and face, per the numerous articles written about it. I was saying that the people in the original article above are insinuating that something sexual was happening during the making of the movie, which is obviously not the case.

The shooting of the footage was in no way criminal, and like I said earlier, I wonder how many of these people have even seen the movie?

You may want to double check your info on Lindsay. Her dad is in prison, but she still has a restraining order against him. If you want to find out about Mom/BFF, check Page Six gossip column. Lindsay started acting at 3 yrs. old and made the remake of Parent Trap at 11 yrs. You may not realize it, but Lindsay is barely 20 yrs. old. She has more miles on her then Rte. 95.
And then there's Britney. Former Mousketeer.
This little girl was told that she is an actress. Everybody quoted here, including her parents, are making money off a child, A CHILD, who acted out a rape scene on a movie set. It's sick. There is no but, there is no excuse.

They did the same thing with "Brooke shields" playing an age 11 virgin prostitute in
Pretty Baby (1978).

Jodie Foster's older sister was used as a stand in during the scene where sex was even suggested. Her mother and Scorcese insisted on this. Thirty years ago they understood the difference between exploitation and art.

I think there's a clear-cut case for child abuse here. Some person or persons should be in the dock facing The Beak on serious charges.
I don't care if it *is* just a movie or whether the kid or even her parents gave consent. Just because it's so-called "art" doesn't mean it ain't also Kiddie Porn.
I'm thoroughly disgusted.

It always struck me how the stars of Taxi Driver took no lessons from it. De Niro, Shepherd, and Foster- they seem to think Travis was "the bad guy".
To: SteveMcKing
Fortunately, the director never subscribed to this simplistic view. Scorcese was a big fan of The Searchers (as am I). Many of the characters and motifs in Taxi Driver are based on the classic western. John Wayne's character in that movie was a damaged soul, just like Travis Bickle, who commits acts of violence to save an innocent. The motives aren't "pure" or clear for that matter. Neither character is a "good guy", but both ultimately perform horrific, yet heroic, acts. This concept is hard for small Hollywood minds to grasp.

This is child pornography and the creation of it - even in cartoon form is very illegal.

Jodie Foster did not use a stand-in in the movie The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane and that was an exploitation film.

It may not have been pornographic and drawings are not criminal (although there was pending legislation) but the parents still may not have had their child's best interest at stake.
For the record, Traci Lords' mother knew what she was doing for a living too.

It wasn't her that ruined WotW. The whole movie sucked. I'll take the original anyday.
