yea, i'm listning to norm hitzgus on the "Ticket". he makes a lot of great points that this is the right thing to do. like i said in my previous post, bill just dosen't have the fire in more and it shows in the way the cowboys played the last 5 weeks of the season.
I was the same thing is Pittsburgh this year with everyone knowing that Cowher's time was up.
Jerry can hire anyone he wants, as long as it isn't Urban Meyer.
I bet Jerry wishes he managed to keep Sean Payton around for one more year.
Seriously, I wonder if watching the Pats-Colts game yesterday just kinda 'wore him out', combined with the Seattle game, convincing him that he didn't have the stomach for another year of the crap shoot and rollercoaster that is today's NFL for teams in the hunt. Losing too many of his coaches and seeing enough to know that no matter what it was just too long a shot for the Cowgirls to win it all next year.
My Top Replacements are 1) Bill Cowher 2) Norv Turner 3) Bob Stoops
Or just have kept Parcells for 1 more year, when Cowher would be available, and perhaps even Lovey Smith. Smith has just 1 more year left on his contract, and though you would think that Chicago would give him a big fat new one, he conceivably could have also refused to sign a new one with Chicago in order to go to a dream job less than 2 hours from his Texas hometown.
I'm hoping for Stoops, just to give fear and heartburn to the Sooner fans!
Norv Turner is a good coordinator but a lousy head coach.
I'd rather get the Boise State coach.
LOL, Jerry may not have a choice, but to name himself coach.
I know that's the prevailing view on Turner but if he brought in a Dick Lebeau things may work out on the defensive side of the ball.
HA! You mean he's not? As a long time Cowboy fan we need a coach with some fire. I'm still a Jimmy Johhson fan...let's get him back!
That is a classy statement!
I don't think the Tuna offically retired I think he may take Year off or two years off to recharge his batteries
I guess that means it's likely TO will be returning next year. That should be a fun act to watch (unless you're a Cowboys fan).
1. Bill Cowher - Burnout
2. Norv Turner - No success as a head coach
3. Bob Stoops - Who wants someone who can't coach an elite powerhouse team to a win over Boise St.
Jerry better not hire someone with an ego as large as Dale Hanson
