The Atlanta Falcons should now consider a course of action that had previously been inconceivable to them.
They should dangle quarterback Michael Vick as trade bait and try to talk the Oakland Raiders into offering their No. 1 pick in return for the promise of what could be if his arm, legs and brain ever decide to work in harmony on a consistent basis.
They should do this even though it will leave them with a salary cap nightmare and likely alienate a significant number of ticket-buyers lured to the Georgia Dome by Vick's potential for highlights. They should dump Vick now rather than later despite the fact that he deserves only a fraction of the blame for the failings of the last two seasons.

Is the water bottle going to Oakland with him?
The Raiders can't take Vick until one of the regular players violates parole and is out for at least one season.
They'll never ship him out. 10 years from now I'll still be hearing how poor Michael's talents were never properly utilized, wrong system for his talents, wasn't handled properly, blah blah blah.
Vick seems to be just one more in an endless line of "highly mobile" QB failures. Remember when Kordell Stewart in Pittsburgh was the answer? It seems that being highly mobile in the pocket is highly overrated.
I remember Bill Cowher like to give him big, wet kisses.
Iverson with the Sixers? We've heard it all before.
Did they write this before the reports came back negative for Marijuana? Does it matter? Are allegations enough to sink Vick in Atlanta now?
Don't say that. Jones would go for it.
I believe they should not trade him beacuse if u do then the falcons will not be going to the super bowl anytime in the near future. All u need to do is put receivers that could catch the ball like randy moss or a terrell owens, if u do that then vick will be very efficient and people will finally get off his back. Vick is like a peyton manning, a tom brady, if u let either one of those go the team will not have a good season, just like when vick got injured in 04 the team did bad, it was only when he got back was when they started winning. So once again DO NOT TRADE MICHEAL VICK!
Yes this was written before that, but if TO is going to get slammed for his "antics", why not apply the rule equally to everyone in the NFL?
