It's not going to matter whether I play DVD's on my Window Home Entertainment Center or not. Vista's DRm will be constantly scanning for copyright protected content, or for whatever it deems to be such and insereing monkey wrenches into the works. The whole scheme negates the very concept of a 'personal computer'. And the reason I'm migrating to Macs. I'll keep one of my 4 Win boxes and give the rest away.

That article is complete BS, as I pointed out in the comments. How do I know this? Because I play my unprotected and protected content on Vista every day with no issues.
I ripped some DVD's to my hard drive with Vista... does that help your situation? I ripped Superman Returns, Fantastic4, Cars and some others... Enjoy.. slysoft.com is your friend. ;)
I can work (potography), watch tv on the mac or listen to music at the same time I'm surfing here. And I never have to worry about a systems crash. Mac goes to sleep at night, and behaves like a good boy every morning when I wake him up. He does what is asked of him, and he doesn't give me trouble, and I don't have to read parenting manuals to figure him out! LOL
