ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Investigators announce a task force made up of federal, state and local investigators to examine whether the man accused of abducting Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby is responsible for other child kidnappings in eastern Missouri.
Michael Devlin is charged in kidnappings in both Franklin County, where 13-year-old Ben was abducted January eighth, and Washington County, where eleven-year-old Shawn was abducted more than four years ago.

I thought the exact same thing. He may not have, but I'm betting that he did. Even though there's been nothing I've read which has said he molested the boys he may have done that in the past, too, against kids he didn't kidnap.
This is very interesting. Perhaps they feel pretty strongly that he is connected to more disappearances.
I Think he also took the boy who went missing in 1991 .
I hope they find the prints on the missing bike .
Greta had the boy's mother on her show tonight
Courtv has some good info on these cases , thanks for the link :)
Here's another story that will probably need another thread:
< a href="http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stories.nsf/stlouiscitycounty/story/E0E8B6242F99BF7E862572690017A8AC?OpenDocument">A police officer came into contact with Shawn 10 months after he disappeared! And some woman claims she contacted Kirkwood police about her suspicions that Devlin was Hornbeck, but the police say that is a fabrication.</a>
Again, hindsight is 20/20, but it is sad that the police officer didn't recognize him years ago.
thanks, I have been reading constantly on their boards and will likely register there!
a lot of these stories need to be posted. I can't post them all or get to them, so if anyone else can that would be great. I am responsible for pinging when I can so I will make sure we are all directed to the threads when I see them. So much is slowly coming out and I can't post them all. So any help would be great!
Whan you get your act together, please put me on the ping list. I'll post any new articles I find.
Thanks.
lol, no problem!
This site is blocked for posting to F.R., but here's an interesting link. The question posed is whether Devlin joined in a search for missing Bianca Piper, in order to learn how searchers think.

i saw this and thought to myself that Devil Devlin could have been involved with the dissapearance of many kids in Missouri starting in 1988 till now.
As the saying goes, one child molester can impact over one hundred children in a lifetime.May be just hearsay.
maybe but the thought is so awful!
Prior to getting on in years,I have had some bad experiences as a child similar in many ways to this and other varying instances.I have seldom talked about it as the memories and the shame will linger forever. Now that I am a man who many men consider a person to be reckoned with,I am very touchy about the little ones. The events that occurred to me should never get a chance to happen anytime in a civilized society.I trust no one when it comes to children, and women for that matter. To me,the perps are all bullies in some form or another. The punishments for such gross mis-behavior should be death.NOT a fast one either.
that is what people don't understand about this case. Shawn was likely abused so badly and only people like you can understand wht that does to a child.
The worst part is never being able to get the images out of your mind.It is like a picture that will never go away. There is never any such thing as"closure".That is total PC crap liberals spout.I hate bullies and child weirdos to the point of being on the edge of reasoning.God would not be able to help them if I were involved. If I were to encounter actions such as have been described, there is no telling what may happen.
