Tom Brady still has a ways to go before celebrating a fourth Super Bowl title, but gay men across the country have already embraced him as their champion
Gay-oriented sports Web sites from coast to coast are ablaze with desire for Tom Terrific.
Its equal rights. We get to look at him the same way women do, we get to want him the same way women do, said Robert, a 41-year-old gay South Shore fan of the Patriots [team stats] heartthrob - one of many men jonesing to pit their pigskin palpitations against those of run-of-the-mill female groupies.
Robert said Brady, 29, who is rumored to be dating Gisele Bundchen, Victorias Secrets spokes-bod, ought to be flattered the other team wants him on their side.
And Roberts not talking about the Indianapolis Colts.
We may not end up with him, he said, chuckling, but 99 percent of the women wont, either.
Matt, a self-described sports blogger and Iraq War Marine Corps veteran, doesnt declare his sexual orientation online, but sure sounds obsessed with Brady, who he repeatedly calls Dreamboat.
Tom Brady [stats] is the Derek Jeter of football, Matt gushed Tuesday at withleather.com, only hunkier and less annoying.
Aghast that Manning bested Brady in a Sony poll of who women would rather drool over on TV, Jon Clougherty, 32, a gay huge Colts fan living in Boston, said, There is no way - even though I will be in Indianapolis screaming my head off for Peyton and crew - that Manning outdoes Brady in the looks department. Toms a hunk, a dream boy, whatever you wanna call him. How bout HOT!
Outsports.com, a Los Angeles-based Web site devoted to gay sports enthusiasts, named Brady an Editors Pick earlier this month for his playful on-field embrace of cornerback Asante Samuel after the Pats beat the New York Jets [team stats] in their Wild Card playoff match.
Brady also scores big with towleroad.com, a blog with homosexual tendencies. And who could forget Brady, the man-love ballad written for the quarterback that, as of last night, had been viewed 403,865 times on YouTube.com.
We watch sports the way women watch sports, he said. I think we can share Tom.
This is who I'll be watching on SB Sunday!
Looks like a '73-'75 Ford pickup he's got there. Cool.
Makes sense. Brady ran off the field after the loss like a queen.
