Did ya'll see that pompus jack-ass Bill O'Reilly last night? I wish I could have gone through the t.v. screen and grabbed him by his neck. He said that he believed Shawn didn't escape because he preferred to be with his captor, the captor obviously let him do whatever he wanted and let him get a lip ring and then the blow hard said, he's usually right, end of story. How dare he!!!!

It seems a lot of people forget that when this child, Shawn, was abducted while riding his bike, he was only 11 years old. I really get angry when people somehow insinuate he was, complicit, in the fate that was foisted upon him. Whatever the scum captor used on him, it worked. This child was robbed of his parents and a normal life. It is idiotic and sick to somehow blame him for the abuse he was subjected to. I raised 3 boys. An 11 year old is still just a child.

Although Devlin had several traffic tickets and was sued in 1999 over four years worth of unpaid state taxes, investigators have found nothing that would have put him on their radar.

Okay, when I checked this story on FR a few days ago the word was this guy was a convicted sex offender. Who came up with that?! (Note: I'm not saying he isn't one but apparently he has never been convicted of being one in the past.)

According to the police report, Shawn told the officer his name was "Shawn Devlin" and gave him the birth date July 7, 1991 — 10 days off his true date of birth.

Isn't this the same name as the poster to the family's website with the entry along the lines of "How long are you going to look for your son?"...

This whole case is weird and smells funny...
