Here's good news to all talented song writers --- YOU MIGHT WANT TO JOIN THE SONGWRITING CONTEST and have your composition chosen as the Finale Idol coronation song.
ROYALTIES, RICHES AND FAME await...

You should submit all of your songs! I would vote for them.

We have the capability to post pictures and videos on this site. I believe AUDIOS can be posted too ???
If so, let's have a listen here....

The finale songs are so boring, I don't know who comes up with the cr@p. On top of which, the winner is crying while singing it which makes it even worse.
They need to come up with atleast an average song. Otherwise they should be publicly humiliated like they do to some of the contestants.

For some viewers, the show's charm lies in the thrillingly untalented singers This joke got old when the industry gave them music contracts and major promoted albums OVER more talented bands that can't get exposure. Now deliberately off singers come out of the woodwork hoping to get their 15 minutes of fame.
Everyone is Borat now.

Interesting idea if a FReep could end up in a sweep.

I am a fan of American Idol and a big fan of Rock Star. I was not a fan of Lukas the vast majority of the time. He did a brilliant version of Radiohead's Creep but that was about it. For me, that show is much more of a music show than a singing show like AI. The contestants are challenged to re-arrange songs, write their own songs, collaborate in songwriting. It is far more artistic than AI. Plus, I like the music a whole lot better. And the House Band is 1 million times better than Ricky Minor and the band at AI. Not even close. that being said, i am looking forward to another season of AI. I just hope some puppy dogs, rainbows and furry woodland critters song shows up in the finale...;-)

Untalented singers who fail spectacularly in the early auditions are so bad they make for good television. Forcing talented finalists to perform such forgettable tunes as "Do I Make You Proud"? That's just plain awful. I liked the show better when it was called, "The Gong Show."

Sorry to jump in but it was on over the summer. It was on last summer as well when INXS was looking for a new lead singer.

And the House Band is 1 million times better than Ricky Minor and the band at AI.I agree completely about the House Band on Rock Star. I would pay to see those guys in action with the contestants. I wouldn't pay to see Supernova.
I hope Storm Large gets a record deal. She's what rock needs nowadays.

Agree with most of that. I'd like to see Supernova without Lukas. The members are very talented but Lukas is not a good fit IMHO. I liked Magnas (sp?).
Storm was very inconsistent. She would butcher a song from Hole (how hard is that to do???) and then nail one from Evanescence. Weird as Amy Lee is 10 million times the singer as Courtney Love.
I just like the music on Rock Star much better. More my style.
