I sent SMILE a message and asked her how things are. Also, if she wouldn't mind, I asked if she would just post it on our trucking board for all, and I would post it here for her.

Most of ya know my lil boy Dylan has been battling cancer since he was 2yrs old..rhabdomyosarcoma (soft tissue cancer)

well he just turned 10 on Jan 8th.... which we spent his birthday in the hospital.. we was in there until the 14th.....
he had a bacterial infection .. there is still something going on with his colon... still on meds now..

i was also admitted to the hospital on jan 10 thru jan 14th... i had bronchitis really bad...i'm feelin much better...

Dylan seen the GI dr on the 17th.. they have referred him to INDIANAPOLIS to ST Vincents hospital..... that is where he went through all of his chemotherapy/radiation and all the surgeries he has been through..

i received the call yesterday on his appointment. it is scheduled for FEB 19th.. they are suppose to run some test on him.. One test will be the colonoscopy.. the Dr's here would not do it afraid they would punture his colon with that being the area he had treatment on and all the scar tissue and with his age and weight.. he weighs between 51and 58 lbs..

i know it seems we are in the hospital about every 3 months for a week at a time ... so i am truly hoping that we can find out what is wrong with him.. he misses going to school so much.. we are doing home studies now.. but it is not like seeing his friends.. ( I think he get's bored with me)..lol

he is doing very well with all of his studies though .. smart as a tack.
he is such a sweet soul always helping others and so considerate of others feelings.. he truly amazes me..

i know some of you are praying for us i truly appreciate that more than words can say.. you all are such good hearts. i thank you for the concern and love you show.

i don't know how long we will be in INDY.. I know me and his dad are both gonna be off work for this trip... usually it is just me.. cause it has been local hospitals... just hope things go well.. i know bubby has really been down in the dumps lately he misses his buddies .. he worries to much about us i think.. ii tell him things are just fine.. GOD will not let us suffer and he loves us so things are fine..GOD knows what he is doing..

i posted on the other thread if anyone wanted to send him a get well card/ cheer up card.. they could...he received some the kids at school made him.. he smiled and says i will cherish them forever....some of them cars were so cute... the word and phrases third graders used was priceless..
kids are so amazing.. i know my daughter Jessica is having a difficult time with this also.. she is developmentally delayed and does not understand why we are back and forth to hospitals and she stays at granny's.. she is 14.. but it has been rough on her.. and as a mother it is very hard on me....... i feel like i need to be at two places at the same time.... but our Lord is getting us through it..

but like i said i truly appreciate each and everyone of you with the thoughts and prayers.. God Bless All..

I can't even imagine what she, and Dylan, are going through. I can only keep Praying and folding.
