Yeah, I'd not heard any such claim either. I had a "conversation" with my son who claimed he heard a report on ESPN where someone on the team (who was not identified) claimed that those arrested in the case were indeed guilty, and my son bought the claim (if ESPN actually reported such a thing). Funny how ESPN could have made such a report but that it not be followed up on by any other news source. I'm not buying that someone made such a claim in truth, but my son tends to accept what he hears more easily. Your scenereo seems more likey to be what actually occurred.
