If ESPN reported that, they reported false information. The false things reported in this case are just ludicrous from the condoms to the choke holds to the rape jackets to the broomsticks.

Because she really WANTS to believe it. She & Nancy Grace may have to take time off to recover from their grief once this is over.
Give it a rest. Your son is wrong. Why don't you just go send an email to ESPN and ask them. This is not the rumor-testing board - it's the lax fact board.
I'm not sure the meaning of the last part of your post. I don't watch ESPN, not even for the box scores. The only reason I would tune to ESPN is when they broadcast a Pro football game.
Yes, I know my son is wrong. And yes, I'm aware that FR is a place to find information, which is the reason for my original question. No, I'm not going to "give it a rest" because you don't like the question. Sorry FRiend, but I'll choose to go where I wish to try and obtain information regarding an issue. I'm the father of two sons, and they both have lots of friends who all tune in to ESPN. But, for me, I don't like ESPN.
Could have been the entire New Black Panther contingent who paid her a visit.
And one for Cathy Davidson, Duke English Prof & VICE Provost. She was the head of the Gang of 88. In fact, all 88 should be driven out of town on a rail after being tarred and featered.
Personally, I like ESPN some. I watch it a lot. But face it the treatment of Limbaugh there shows they have moved a long way since they were running ads with the skier seemingly falling and coming through it about freedom being the freedom to fail or succeed.
Certainly the corporate culture has been seemingly affected by being located in the NE and the influence of the not very smart Chris Berhman.

Nifong also said (and I will never forget this as long as I live-I heard with with my own ears) one of the boys (maybe Reade)forced her to perform oral sex on him while he was restraining her from behind her.
He said it could be done. For the life of me, I still cannot come up with a plan for that one. Oh yeah, they were both standing and when he was making so many calls to his girlfriend.
I would discard any such statements made early in the case as lies.

The players told Smith they admit it was foolish to have the party, but deny that any rape occurred. They also believe the two students charged so far will not be convicted.

I have nothing against anyone who wants to watch ESPN. I would just rather get the info I want on the teams I follow through another source. I don't have the time needed to wade through all the sports being reported in order to get that which I want.
I only hope that the three lax players take a page out of Richard Jewel's play book and go after the talking heads in the media that tried and convicted them at the time leading up to and at the time of the indictment. News organizations like MSNBC and Jim Rome (who was particulary malicious).

The newspapers and talk radio are doing a pretty good job of making sure that Nifong will never work in the legal profession again, assuming that he is found guilty of misconduct and disbarred. Someone who was ridden out of town on a rail (e.g. for selling phony medical remedies) could simply move on to the next town, but the papers and the Internet will make sure this follows Nifong wherever he goes. In this case (as opposed to the prosecutors of the Amirault and Snowden cases), justice may actually be done and the prosecutor's legal career ruined, assuming that he is found guilty as charged.
The false accuser's name should be made public--I assume the state's rape shield laws will cease to protect her once the defendants are acquitted, and perhaps she herself is charged with perjury, libel, and so on and so forth. Then she will never work again either, because even people who hire strippers won't hire one who goes around making false accusations of rape.
Actually her name's been public for a long time. As well as several assorted "activities" after the rape hoax.
