Pac-Man (or Puck Man in Japan) is an arcade game developed by Namco and licensed for distribution by Midway, first released in Japan in 1979.

So technically, it is in the 70's.....

As I said, either it is totally in the '80s or in its prime in the '80s. Pac-Man (nor any of the arcade-game phenomena) was not huge until at least 1980. Ted McGinnley did not appear on Love Boat until into the '80s (after all, he is the show-KILLER, not show-starter!).

And on and on....

Sorry, it's just a pet peeve of mine when these "crossovers" are made!
