We have visitors coming from out of state all the time.

We have many places we take them, but first on the list is always taking them to Yosemite, then over Tioga Pass to June Lake, and from there doing a day trip to Bodie.

I live in Simi Valley, so as you start to get your trip finalized, feel free to freepmail me and I'll look at your CA plan and hopefully give you some shortcuts/faster routes through the LA area. (Plus recommendations on where to stay in Simi Valley)

Thanks!

Dumb question, but is Simi Valley close to LA?

I must agree with ZG. Yosemite in June. June because BIG water over the falls, crowds are still relatively small. just try for week days. But, the pass may still be closed. I took 8 crazy middle-aged mid-western women up there last June and they had the time of their lives!
Port and truffles on glacier point at sunset!
Also, we stayed at the Evergreen Lodge just a few miles from the west entrance. Rustic cabins with a great restaurant and bar.
