Boy, Cyn would make a good horse for trail classes with all the obstacles :) Looks like she'll walk through just about anything doesn't it.
Great pics! What a big job. At least you're keeping the horses entertained ;o)
The bathroom is done. One more project out of the way. It looks great and I am happy with the work. A few more days for the tile grout to set and I can enjoy it.
She IS a bold little girl, isn't she?
Great pics! You made my morning. Oh, I MISS MY HORSES!!
And it does nothing but rain down here in Houston. Good thing I brought my Blunnies.
Blunnies???
~:o|
Blundstone boots. We wear them everywhere, but especially in the mud. Thick and waterproof leather.
Unless the mud is deeper'n 4 or 5 inches, they do well enough. Plus if somebody steps on your foot, you can jerk your foot out before you get a mashed toe.
Yeah. Raining in South Texas too. I was going to Houston this weekend but I'm going to push it back another week.
Well, in Canada crocs are only good for a few days in the summer. (I'm from Canada.) The advantage of Blunds is that you can hop on a horse with them, too. Then give them a quick brush and head out to the store lol But I tell ya, I'm so homesick today. I'd give a lot to be marching around a snowy field, toting buckets.
Around here they are usually worn by the kids, since they're cheap and proper show attire with the jodphurs for the under-12 set.
I have a set of steel toe boots from WalMart for really deep mud, but I'm thinking about a pair of camo Remington wellies for the dog stuff . . . cause they're thin enough neoprene that when it gets hot you can just cuff them down so your legs can breathe.
Homesickness is a terrible feeling. And I'm sure the wet weather isn't helping it any. It sure would be nice if you had your horses to hug. Do you have any idea when you'll get to move them?
She would be really good at those trail type classes where they have to pick up sacks of cans and shake them, that kind of stuff doesn't phase her a bit.
It really did look for a minute like she was going to climb in the truck, if she could get that pile to support her, I said, "honey, she's lookin' like she may climb in the truck with you, should I run her off, or just make sure I get it on film?" Heh.
Spoken like a true cameraphile! I would've liked to have seen the video of her doing it.
I've heard of people who taught their horses or mules to jump up in the bed of the truck, with one of those stock-hauler things in it of course, but I've never seen it, so I don't know if it's a line of crap or not. That would be interesting to see.
Except for a mud puddle, of course. But that's understandable - I don't like to walk through mud puddles either. :)
I've seen mules jumping into the back of a truck... Maybe it's a mule thing... maybe it was in a movie?
Do you folks have any judged pleasure trail rides in your area? She would be outstanding and they can be a lot of fun.
I thought SL was going to try to get in the cab once. I had feed in there to keep her out of it and I had to open the door on the other side for something. She had her head in and one foot was pawing.
Now I did see video of a horse who jumped up on top of a car. It was something like a suburban, hooked to a horse trailer. The horse was running around the pasture and he just jumped up on the hood, then to the roof, then to the roof of the trailer. He stood there looking around for a few seconds, then went back down the way he came. It was the darndest thing I'd ever seen! It was a full-sized horse too, so I'm sure the vehicle was dented pretty good when he did it. It was several years ago and I think it was on America's Funniest Videos or something like that. I'd love to see it again, just to be sure I didn't imagine it.
I think I told y'all about the time that I left the Jeep door open and Bob ate my sausage biscuit and drank my cup of hot chocolate that I'd left in the console. The little bugger got crumb-laced chocolate-flavored horse slobber all over everything.
