MIAMI -- Global Positioning System technology is turning up in more and more devices, like watches and cellphones.
But a Miami company has used the technology to develop shoes that can be located anywhere in the world.
The shoes' developer Sayo Isaac Daniel said people can forget to carry their phones, but they can't leave the house without their shoes.
The design allows wearers to press a hidden button to send a distress signal.
The Quantum Satellite Technology shoes are planned to hit stores in March at a price of $325 to $350.

So the cost works out roughly to ten cents for every time where you kid asks 'mom/dad, do you know where I put my shoes?'
I do, which is why I have to try to keep an extra pair in the car.
Then how do you explain the phenomenon of 'shoes in the road'?
OH the TSA will love this at the airport!.."May I Inspect your shoes...?"
LOL yeah, what do you do after you take off your shoes at the airport? Put them on the x-ray conveyor. I'll bet they will be real impressed with the embedded electronics. They might even call over 50 or so of their fellow TSA employees to see.
Brilliant idea.....what happens when they are donated to Good Will, Salvation Army etc.,?
Honing in on the homeless?
