True, the ACC isn't a crap conference for some sports. However, Bowden used to claim that they were in the football-weak ACC because their basketball team was so successful. (The ACC does have good basketball teams...)
At the time Miami was still in the Big East, IIRC.

Speaking of the Big East, referred to as the Big Least after losing Miami, VT and BC to the ACC recently, is on the up-and-up. 3-0 so far in bowls this year and Louisville and Cinci are both big favorites in their upcoming bowls. Big East 5-0 in bowl games and most teams are still young and will be returning a lot of starters. That said, USC will win it all again next year.
