Well, we are talking fairy tale endings here. It's a stock script.

"Mark my words, this will end up being the game that gives us a college playoff." I think your right. I can't see why the NCAA keeps turning its head on the money a playoff would generate.

Best college game I've ever seen. I'm looking out the window in my home in the Boise foothills and can see and hear fireworks all over town. The city is going nuts.

I agree! Best bowl game ever. Boise State deserves a shot at the National Championship. Let's not get carried away. While they surely played a good game, this game was the only tough one (ranked) on their schedule.

No idea. That's the whole point of a playoff system. It works for college basketball, why not football? Why not allow smaller conferences the opportunity to play against the big boys? Answer: The big boys don't want to run the risk of losing like Oklahoma did.
They don't want the national championship to ever go to a team like Boise State because it would cost their programs too much money. The big schools were shocked and disgusted when Brigham Young University won the national championship in '85 and the BCS was designed to prevent that from ever happening again. The BCS is anti-competition and un-American.

Boise State made my day. Tennessee and Arkansas found new ways to fumble and lose football games. I'm looking forward to seeing the National Championship game and hoping the Gators win. If Boise State doesn't get a part of the NC then honor has left the AP and the Coaches.

Wow, that's what makes football great! What a shift of emotions- OU comes from 18 back, ties it up, then the BSU qb throws what looks like the interception to lose the game, only to tie it with that 4th and 18 td, and win in overtime. By far the game of the year, beating my beloved Rutgers (aka The Little Red School house -red referring to it's political leanings, not the team colors)comeback win over Louisville. The bad news - only 4 hours before I have to get up for work!

Sorry, I know the whole strength of schedule argument (which is crap IMHO), but this WAS the best bowl game ever.

Mark my words, this will end up being the game that gives us a college playoff.I hope so. That teams with undefeated records can be passed over for national title games shows the shortcomings of the present system.
