It sounds like a tired joke--but a group of airline employees insist they are in earnest, and they are upset that neither their bosses nor the government will take them seriously.
A flying saucerlike object hovered low over O'Hare International Airport for several minutes before bolting through thick clouds with such intense energy that it left an eerie hole in overcast skies, said some United Airlines employees who observed the phenomenon.

The "U" part of "UFO" frequently refers to aircrafts well known to man. All it means is that American ground control doesn't have the transponder data.

In that several pilots, who usually are trained to be calm and quick-thinking, supposedly witnessed the UFO (or whatever the new name is), I doubt that any were panicking like a crime victim. Unless, of course, a Romulan disruptor was pointing at them--then I'd understand why not one single person out of a dozen, over a period of several minutes thought to snap a picture with their cellphone.

more than 100- i am one of the few here on FR who SAW THE VIDEO ON TV of a missile rising up and hitting the blane just before a huge blast in the sky.
It was shown once, then never seen again, and, curiously, no one at the networks seems to remember airing the tape.
Of course this was when Clintoon was president and even someone as lowly as an intern had to worry about 'arkancide'...

the various medieval artwork with objects in the sky is about as eerie as anything else I have seen, particularly as it deals with known artwork of a fairly definitive pre-industrial date of origin with some of the same sorts of objects described more recently by (ridiculed) witnesses.
i bet airport/tarmac workers are not allowed to carry a camera on the job (secure area), not sure though.
I think one side of E concourse is the only place people MIGHT have been able to see 1500 feet above C concourse, IF they put their face on the glass and looked almost straight up.
The big ship's coming for Farakan, though I would have thought it would have settled over Midway. It's closer to his South Side base.
