I second it. What pissed me off is when the Saints & Eagles were handing them their b**** Madden & Fox Sports were spinning as if the Cowboys were the ones handing them their ba***.

Hard to be a fan longer than 1963.

And if Jimmy wears out his welcome, well, he's been gone long enough he can start a new welcome.

I think it'll be Fred Farkle..he's a 2nd string tackle at a division 3 school, but millen thinks he has good potential..(sarc/off)

I honestly don't know how he's holding onto his job..

Hard, but do-able. What was the extent of your fandom?

Do you have autographs from every member of the Don Meredith led team?

Did you go to the shows they had where the guys spoke and Don Meredith got so upset he had to leave and Bob Lilly had to cover for him?

I could be wrong, but they were named "America's Team" because , at the time, they sold the most clothing with their logo attached...which is not so now...therefore, they are not "America's Team"...no?

"...Not by a long shot. Colombia's team, maybe. . ."

Refresh my memory. When was the last time a Dallas Cowboys player had a drug problem resulting in massive media coverage? Or are you going on old news and hatred toward America's Team?

Living in AZ, no. We got the Dallas feed when the NFL started there. But I do have a few autographs. And I travel to see the team when possible.

No, they were "America's Team" because for years, whatever NFL logo stuff was sold, Dallas outsold almost everyone else combined. It hasn't been that way since the late 1980s, though, and certainly since it hasn't been "hip" to like the (supposedly) squeaky-clean Cowboys. Instead, it's the Raiders and Steelers.

It doesn't matter, does it? That well-deserved reputation is pretty much permanent.

Or are you going on old news and hatred toward America's Team?

Hatred, not really - it's not worth it. Strong dislike? Certainly. Old news? Again, it doesn't matter. They got the reputation they deserved. If the new players are all that different then they'll have to earn their own rep... if they can overcome the old one.

Meanwhile, I look forward to watching them back out of the playoffs that they backed into. . . :)

True. However, Detroit has had something like four top five picks and, well . . . .

Living our days
The importance being placed on
us acknowledging our own goodness
and forgiving ourselves for
shortcomings
We need not keep score
Life is not measured
The grade given
how we respect
others and ourselves
