I'm not a fan of flavored (honey, cranberry, spiced, etc.) beers at all.

Belgian ales are always good in winter -- Orvall, Duvel, etc.

Same goes for Doppelbocks.

Ever had a Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale or Oatmeal Stout? Great stuff.
