Is the OmniPage that you are attempting to install include verbiage like "for Windows XP"? Or is it for Windows 2000 or earlier?

If it's not for WinXP, try this:

Go to Start/All Programs/Accesories/Program Compatibility Wizard. If you have the install on a CD, select the "use program on the CD Drive" option, or navigate there manually. Follow the wizard steps for the appropriate Windows release that your CD is designed for - Win 200, 98, 95, whatever.

The installation book says it is for Windows XP and the CD date is 2005. I can install the program with no problem. I cannot get the Service Pack update that is on-line at their web-site.
