Michigan looked flat....

I think they put whatever they had into the game in Columbus and never got it back.

Michigan hadn't played ball in almost seven weeks. I think the layoff took the edge off.

I wonder how much of it was just rust. They hadn't played a down since that game in Columbus, while USC had at least played in a couple since then.

I think OSU showed pretty much how to beat Michigan, which is pretty much the gameplan that New England had aganst Minnesota (Running plays are just lost downs). Michigan was only close to OSU because A) they were inspired from Bo's death, and B) two gimme TDs when they were out of it due to a center's broken hand...which is not to say that they were a bad team, just not as close to OSU as they looked.
