Many industries attempt to control people by "professionalizing" certain jobs.

It's like a "burger technician" or "sanitation engineer". They are forcing professional standards on lowly jobs, only to control the workers in some way.

Private businesses might not like it, but many companies embrace the practice.

No, you have to get a license from your competitors! As an aside, I have always been attracted to women who have less-than-perfect teeth. It's mo' realistic! ;)
