To both of you, thanks for the pings.

I found this last night, you might find it interesting, as it sets out why we are so close to a war with Iran now, it is dated October 2000, the Congressmen do not speak well of Clinton and Gore.

Most of my time is spent on research for the World of Terror thread.

Oh my gosh....he can't stay away from Vietnam in word or deed. Wearing his lucky hat? (Note: we have never seen it...so is that a lie too?)

The Boston Globe's account of his trip named all the countries he would be visiting and the fact that he would be joining Dodd later on the trip, BUT the Globe's account did NOT mention Vietnam or his planned meeting w/Syria's president. Interesting omissions, aren't they?

Ok, sorry. Time to rein it in. That was a joke gone bad based on your comment...

Vietnam Veteran (who knew?)

Kerry didn't go to Vietnam. Not within several thousand miles--except as it might be seared into his brain.

Over here

I believe Jim's recipe is somewhere at the beginning of this thread. Or maybe it's at the beginning of 'the other' thread which was short in life.

Hi Molly! Thanks so much for your daily links. I have been quite the absent freeper these days, but occasionally I do check in and your links are always a must. I especially liked Ben Stein's piece. That man is always so grateful and appreciative - a quality I am working to improve in my own life!

My Christmas card to you will definately get sent this week! I know I owe you an update!

Hi Guennie, my cruise roomie!! (Yikes - that was 5 years ago!!)

You're going to have a great time shopping with your little girl and her little girl tonight! My little girl got back from college last night for CHRISTMAS break and I am looking foward to some shopping expeditions with her too! We have several of those outdoor malls now - they are great this time of year when you live in a nice warm climate like we do!

Evening all!

Yes, HOB...a little boy is what I remember too!

dittomom, I'm slow getting my cards out, also! But you've been in my thoughts, and an update will be appreciated so much! The news...personal stuff...it all keeps us busy. Yes, the Stein piece was pretty typical for him. I love the way he expresses his gratitude for his many blessings.

Bev, take care tonite! Let us know when you can that you're okay.

Still mild here.

Small group coming over tonite for meeting/Christmas party...pretty much set for them, except some last minute things to bake....

Keep them out of Alaska. We don't want them. We've already been down that road, when a bunch from the states came up and set up farming, then ran out of money, so we Alaskans had to support them. It was very expensive. We sure don't want to support a bunch of foreigners.

I baked cookies for 9 hours today!!!!! I am so proud of myself :-)

Pouring rain, no wind at this time. I am getting everything, I need to do that requires power, done today. I can wrap packages and address Christmas cards by lamplight :-)

I have everything tied down that might blow away and am hoping for the best.

I will check in tomorrow and give you all a weather report.

Thank you dear friends, for keeping us in your prayers!!!
