I had an earlier version but Notepad took a dump, I turned the air blue, probably shouldn't have **** some holes through the monitor, but I needed to paint in here anyway.

This is actually a test for the Brave browser AI search response, using the team name and "2025 draft needs" to get a little report. Problems arose when I got conflicts between what the search engine said and what the draft list said the position was, that kind of thing. Also, in the first, lost go-round, I had two teams needing Centers, and found, hmm, one? zero? this time through.

However, the overall thrust is the same, it'll be an offense-heavy first round, but I see only one QB, with Sanders going at the beginning of the second round.
Round 1
1)Tennessee TitansQBCam Ward
2)Cleveland BrownsCBTravis Hunter
3)New York GiantsOTArmand Membou(or Simmons; QB needs will be filled later in the draft)
4)New England PatriotsOTJosh Simmons(or Campbell)
5)Jacksonville JaguarsOTDTMason Graham
6)Las Vegas RaidersWRTetairoa McMillan(they need a CB, but there will be good ones in later rounds; QB Quinn Ewers has expressed interest in joining the Raiders)
7)New York JetsOTWill Campbell
8)Carolina PanthersEDGEAbdul Carter
9)New Orleans SaintsRBAshton Jeanty
10)Chicago BearsSMalaki Starks(a lot of RBs in this draft, they'll add one in later picks)

12)Dallas CowboysCBQuincy Riley
13)Miami DolphinsOGTyler Booker
14)Indianapolis ColtsTETyler Warren

18)Seattle SeahawksOTGrey Zabel
19)Tampa Bay BuccaneersCBWill Johnson
20)Denver BroncosTEColston Loveland
21)Pittsburgh SteelersDTDerrick Harmon(Rodgers will be a Steeler; the sportscasters are tedious to listen to, particularly those shows with multiple nimrods talking and arguing at once. Even within that annoying context, the bitching they've been doing about Aaron Rodgers should result in some prison time for some of them, what a bunch of a-holes. And I say that as a massive NON-FAN of Rodgers due to his having been a freakin' Packer for most of his career. Given that at least two of the sports trollcasters were total COVID stooges, I think that may be part of it.)
22)Los Angeles ChargersEDGEDonovan Ezeiruaku
23)Green Bay PackersCBShavon Revel Jr.(they'll add a WR in later rounds)
24)Minnesota VikingsCSeth McLaughlin

Everyone is Lying About the NFL Draft. The Broncos want to trade up. The Giants & Browns are taking trade calls. Cam Ward to the Titans is all we know. Jaxson Dart, Jalen Milroe, Shedeur Sanders & Ashton Jeanty control the 1st round. Some are suggesting a blockbuster trade into the top 5.

Ward is going to be a bust, Travis Hunter should be the #1 pick.

The best rookie QB prospects are usually drafted (often at #1) by the very teams that need to build the rest of the team (including the coaching staff, but in this context, the O-line, WRs, RBs, TEs) and hire some older talent (which is what the Browns and Jets are doing, and soon, so too the Steelers) to run the offense. Instead, promising rookies never learn how to play in the NFL because they’re either running for their lives or flat on their backs a lot. Their careers are over before they begin.

You rebuild by going after the trench players. If you have a good offensive line, regardless of the rest of the personnel, you should win at least 6-7 games.

Yup. They’ve got to work together for a while to get good, then draft a QB from a perceived good class. And in the interim, defense has to be built with good pass defense and great pass rush. Philadelphia just beat KC in the Superbowl using cover 4 defense, no blitz. That worked because they owned their own backfield.

If I were a GM, the first thing I do, even before I hire the head coach, is to find the best offensive line coach in the business and pay him whatever he wants.

Having wept my way through the long disaster of the Matt Millen years at the Lions, and the persistent disappointment of the Wayne Fontes years

WF's still the longest-serving head coach of the Lions, most victories, most defeats. I suspect that Dan Campbell will break the victories mark, but not the defeats mark. With the loss of both his coordinators to head coaching jobs, we'll find out soon enough -- he's got 24 already, 3–13–1,9–8,12–5).

A lot of teams fall into the habit of constant turnover in coaching, and stupid trades and drafts -- the Browns come to mind :^). Overpaying QBs, particularly with huge guaranteed money terms, trade approval, etc, will be the next thing to get its ass kicked.

Seeing the recent spate over overpaying non-QBs crazy guaranteed money suggests that the overpaying part will be with the NFL for a while yet.

My fear is that there’s a ceiling with Goff, he can get you only so far. If the Lions are going to win a SB in this window, they really will have to beef up the defense.

I have the CBS live feed open (text page) and they didn’t listen to you, the Titans took Cam Ward:

Round 1, pick 1: Titans select QB Cam Ward, Miami
Ward is a boom or bust prospect at the quarterback position. He is the creative passer that every team covets, but the decision-making has to improve for him to find success. Tennessee starts over at the quarterback position two years after drafting Will Levis in the second round.

Pete Prisco’s grade: B-

Because I’m multitasking, I’ve got Fubo streaming in the other room, four guys I’ve never seen before are blabbin’, they have a nice pro-looking set though, good camera work.

Jags traded up to #2:

Jonathan Jones @jjones9

Browns receive: 5th overall pick (1st round), 36th overall pick (2nd round), 126th overall pick (4th round) and 2026 1st round pick

Jaguars receive: 2nd overall pick (1st round), 104th overall pick (4th round), 200th overall pick (6th round)

Browns have something in mind, clearly, not a very bright something no doubt...

Round 1, pick 2: Jaguars select WR/CB Travis Hunter, Colorado
Hunter has the capability to play two positions at the next level and both happen to be positions of need for Jacksonville. Few are as natural with the ball in their hands as Hunter. His ball skills are his blue-chip trait and new head coach Liam Coen plans to deploy that opposite Brian Thomas Jr.

Pete Prisco’s grade: A+

Hunter will be the next Deion Sanders. Great pick for the Jags.

Tennessee is going to rue the day.

The Fubo guys said the Giants had taken Abdul Carter, but nothing on the CBS feed yet, so maybe I heard wrong. Ah, here it comes:

Round 1, pick 3: Giants select EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State
Although the Browns did not follow the script, the Giants have by selecting Carter. Carter is a twitchy pass rusher that should see several one-on-one opportunities in the same defensive front as Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence.

Pete Prisco’s grade: A

I think Cleveland may as well, but as you said, gotta rebuild in the trenches, and that may work out. Doesn’t appear that they got much.

I quite ridiculously picked Jacksonville to win their division in the coming season, and didn’t even put Cincy in the Wild Card list. Of course, I’m doing it very early...

Fubo sez the Pats took Will Campbell.

Round 1, pick 4: Patriots select OT Will Campbell, LSU
Many wondered if New England may deliver a surprise even though it has felt as though they were locked into Campbell for weeks, if not months. The franchise’s commitment to supplementing the protection for last year’s No. 3 overall selection, quarterback Drake Maye, continues as Campbell is the left tackle of the future.

Pete Prisco’s grade: B-

Round 1, pick 6: Raiders select RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State
Jeanty is a dynamic runner, but he is also sturdy in pass protection and a valuable contributor in the pass game. In 2023, when he caught 43 passes, he was credited with a 0% drop rate, according to TruMedia. Pete Carroll believes in a strong run game and Jeanty now gives them that option.

Pete Prisco’s grade: B+
