Remember they did that statement after Issac Hayes quit the show they call them servant of that God that Scienttogy believe is evil forgot the name of it
I was laughing so hard
[Reason: Why is Hollywood so overwhelmingly liberal? Or maybe not even liberal. It seems that many entertainment industry people really want to control people on very specific issues.
Parker: Its so simple to understand. Its just that thats whats cool right now. Thats whats cool in L.A., so thats what everyone does.]
When the "popular' people in our society tell the public who they should like and who they should hate, most people climb aboard the bandwagon, without even knowing why, in order to fit in with the crowd. Parker and Stone go against human instinct and use their own brains for passing judgment; that's the reason they're so despised and the same is true for Rush Limbaugh.
Reason: What was the response to the Mel Gibson episode you did in 2004? In The Passion of the Jew, two of the boys feel cheated after paying to see The Passion of the Christ, visit Gibson in his Malibu mansion, and demand a refund. You portray Gibson as generally paranoid, raving, and insane.
Parker: It was way ahead of its time, Ill tell you that. Years ago we had Mel Gibson drunk, getting arrested by a cop, and smearing shit on stuff. That totally came true.

I read this on Reason earlier today. You beat me to the post.
It really is amazing how Mel Gibson in "The Passion of the Jew", turns out not to be a caricature but rather his actual persona. They nailed that one two years before anyone actually saw it coming. They deserve a Nostradamus Award to put on the mantle next to their Peabody Award.
That episode was hysterical. Cartman as the fuhrer, Kyle cringing in the movie theatre as the fake Aramaic was spoken on screen amid wails of anguish.
"We go to movies to be entertained. Not to watch a guy get tortured for 2 hours." And of course the requisite line where the boys tell what they learned:
"We should focus on what Jesus taught while he was alive, not how he died."
As for the Muhammad episode, I always wondered why the had to make it To Be Continued...
Now I know why. Make Comedy Central pay for two episodes. Truthfully, I'm glad that Doug didn't allow them to do it. The islamofascists might have actually tried to hurt them. Then we would lose many more decades of hilarious stuff.
If anybodys telling me what I should do, then youve got to really convince me that its worth doing.
Seems it was their attempt to be as funny as the people they were interviewing. It failed miserably.
So many of the episodes seem to be ahead of their time. I was watching the "Longer" movie, and they had Saddam in bed with Satan in 1999!
I'll have to admit I'm just catching up on SP episodes, but I sure wish Comedy Central was a bit easier to take.
and the Gay Cowboys Eating Pudding...years before Brokeback.
Xenu?
Great interview!
Yup that who's Xedu LOL!
*sigh*...same here. :/
Trey Parker: Theyre really the same people.
LOL...better duck 'cause here comes the lawsuit.
Unless of course you are an Islamofascist, then all you need do is introduce the "Head Tax". Want to keep your head, pay the tax... convert is Is-sham and there is no more trouble.
ah Old Cracker.
Screw that guy, dude. ;)
