I was kind of surprised to hear his name, even though they obviously bleeped out his address and phone number.

I'm sure it is a matter of public record, but that doesn't mean they need to broadcast his name in an audio recording.
In particular, I'm thinking of the man who found little Samantha Runion's body in California. That audio was played on many many broadcasts, but they bleeped out when he said his name.
