Found in a NC swamp. No foul play...believe to be an auto accident. Prayers for their family. They looked like a loving, happy couple.
Now you are starting to ask the right questions...
Never mind. I am listening to Greta again and I'm sure I'm right about what the police are saying.
Let me make clear what I intended to say at 8:30pm so your clear and everyone else.
Anyone who has driven that road knows if you go off that road it will be impossible to be seen from the road.
You would only be found if someone were actually off the side of the road and looking carefully.
And because of that reason - it amazes me that the Highway Patrol did not take that kind of time to investigate a 911 report of a collision. You need to get out of the car and walk the area.
If I know that from driving it a dozen times or so (and for all the people out there that haven't driven it - NC, SC drive is the longest part of the east coast drive and you never forget it) then highway patrol should know that as well.
How do you know that the HP and the EMS didn't do just that?
Maybe they caused the accident.
Nobody ever said what you heard is wrong. My issue with what you said was that it was a single car accident - there were people on thread saying Greta was speculating that it was. The police reports I saw said they had to do a complete investigation of the car before they could determine if anyone else was involved.
Since there was a 911 call there ought to be a witness.
You blasted me because you thought I was quoting Greta's show. I wasn't...I don't have cable nor do I have Fox.
I gather information and relay it on...whether it is right or wrong is not for me to decide when collecting the information. At some point we can analyze the information and make all kinds of wild assessments of it.
I don't know that. I do know they didn't look hard enough. Does anybody dispute that? If they did they would have found the car last week.
Where did you see EMS was dispatched?
All I have ever seen is that highway patrol investigated a 911 report stating there was a collision at the location.
Where did you hear EMS was dispatched as well?
The NC HP is saying that they the lost control, ran off the road, and hit a tree, which knocked them into the creek.
The HP and Nash County Emergency crews went out and looked and saw nothing. I'm sure they didn't just do a driveby.
But there weren't a lot of phone calls about the wreck.
And the HP did not say it was too big an area to search.
Whoever you quoted was wrong.
Last week, Nash County 911 Communications had notified the Highway Patrol of a traffic collision near the location where the vehicle was recovered, but emergency personnel were never able to locate a collision at the location or see any debris, the Highway Patrol said.
ONE MORE TIME -- the article I linked in post Number Five, which was posted FIVE HOURS AGO
Aacck! That link was a video and I don't have video or audio on this puter, so it shuts down my browser and I lose FR and have to start over.
Just let us know when the link is something besides a regular website, please? Thanks.
Actually there were a lot of calls about the prospect of a car accident on I95 last week. There was an organized campaign to do it. You wouldn't believe some of the responses given to people calling it.
Even the family members made repeated calls to NC highway patrol and inquired about the possibility of an accident, or break down, etc...
If you don't believe that you need to watch the local news up in NYC...primarily channel 7 and you tell me if the family members are lying.
Just because you haven't seen it or heard it doesn't mean it isn't true. Why are you so arrogant in your positions?
After you seen the footage on on your local station that showed the skid marks going into the creek do you think someone can claim they did a thorough inspection of the reported crash site?
Sorry...it was a link that Howlin is saying has all the answers to this situation and that everything on that video are the exact facts and that there can be no other facts for this situation.
In other word Howlin must be related to Bray.
And I saw the family's press conference. If you saw the family, you'd know that they were NOT criticizing the NC Highway Patrol.
Actually there were a lot of calls about the prospect of a car accident on I95 last week. There was an organized campaign to do it. You wouldn't believe some of the responses given to people calling it.
Let's have a link to that, please.
Why are you so arrogant in your positions?
I might ask you the same question.
Ok Howlin,
I am going to take this very slow for you. I have even tied half my brain behind my back so I can explain to you.
First of all I never disputed what you state from Nash County 911.
But since you have made assumption after assumption about this one piece of data...I will show how you are wrong on two key points:
First you made the statement that it is a single car accident.
Let's read the piece from Nash County 911 - it says...am I going slowly enough for you:
...had notified the Highway Patrol of a TRAFFIC COLLISION - so how does one take the word traffic and translate that into one vehicle and then apply collision (which of course implies that two objects are colliding with one another) and come out with A SINGLE CAR ACCIDENT.
Of course me on the other hand just stuck with what they said and didn't leap to your conclusion. We will see what comes out of the investigation. Somebody did call 911 so there must have been a witness or someone was part of the accident and left the scene.
Ok now on to the second point...
You said EMS and HP got out of their cars and searched the area.
Now lets go back read the next part...very slowly...
it clearly states...were never able to LOCATE A COLLISION (which would imply at least two vehicles sitting there in a wreck) at the location or SEE any debris. No where does it state that they got out of the car and looked around or did a thorough inspection...yada yada ya.
However now when you look at the video that you claim has any and all of the facts pertaining to this tragedy you can clearly see the rather clear and large set of skid marks traveling through the grass and into the creek. It would seem to me that is someone got out of their car and looked carefully they would have seen that.
So now I ask you...how am I wrong?
You're being a real ass now.
I didn't say any such thing. You're just dead wrong and won't admit it for some reason.
Here is the link to Channel 7 in NYC, which you haven't been able to provide, with a link to the VIDEO you claim to have seen where you said "Actually there were a lot of calls about the prospect of a car accident on I95 last week. There was an organized campaign to do it. You wouldn't believe some of the responses given to people calling it. "
People will see that that they called all the HP station all along I-95 and they did NOT get any nasty response as you insinuated.

And I guess you just forgot to mention to us -- in all your fact gathering -- that the son-in-law said that the car had TWO FEET OF WATER over the roof, FGS!
I just don't know what to make of your "news gathering skills."
Ok so you have your little sphere and since it is in your neighborhood you want to be perceived as the authority. Ok I get it.
But in reality the world doesn't operate that way in fact many of the things the Kim's did on their own searching for their family members came from people far away from Oregon and Mr Kim heeded those suggestions and it was his resources that found all of the Kim's.
Just because information comes from thousands of miles away doesn't mean it isn't valuable, right or accurate.
The family is furious with NC HP. They criticized SC specifically but they also said they were shocked and upset with NC HP because they specifically made calls to NC HP about a possible accident on I95 Thursday AM and were told there were no reports, etc...when in fact there was a 911 call. At the minimum that mistake put this family through several days of hell.
I never said that; I asked you how you know that they didn't?
FGS, you just make stuff up, don't you?
Go and rewatch the video you claimed you watched; their own son-in-law thinks it was a single car accident.
I saw the video you claimed was your source, surfer.
You can cut the BS now.
Howlin
I did mention that specific fact about the 2 feet of water. I specifically said the family member said the car hit a divider, skid across the grass, hit a tree and ended up found under 2 feet of water...can't you read?
You need to read the NY Post, NY Times, Newsday, the list goes on if you want to get the new facts out of NYC. I didn't post the links because there would be 50. You have to remember just because where you live there are limited news outlets doesn't mean the rest of the world is like that.
Spend the time and research all the articles written about this. You will see many more over the next few days. These people were from NY and had municiple job careers there will be tons of coverage and the family will say a lot more.
Why do you want to take such a narrow view on things?
The organized campaign came from a group of people that are now doing anything they can to find and assist families that are missing loved ones. They are also doing stuff for the missing climbers on Mount Hood. They are trying to do some good and help create successful and positive endings to these situations - how dare you criticize them just because you are not in the loop.
One thing is for sure you definitely earned that very large L embossed on your forehead.
