I saw Apocolypto last. It is worth seeing. Previews for other movies were disgusting-a new "slasher" series with a Christmas theme? Hollywood is a cesspool.
I thought it was idiotic.

When did Mel bash Bush, and what did he say? I guess I missed that item.
I think the movie should be judged on its own merits. From what I've read about how it presents Maya culture, it sounds way off from a historical POV; but then Braveheart was also pretty inaccurate about the nature of the English-Scottish struggle.
As long as everybody realizes it's just a movie, that's no big deal. But a lot of people go to a movie on a historical period and seem to get their notions of history from the movie.
Sad to say, the movie has been deleted from youtube.
