They don't realize it, but they make a case for free markets and freedom. All those better off (roof over head, food on table, etc) are from developed capitalist society. It also makes the case that the "poor" in the US are mostly not-poor. So I'd better not hear any more from these people about the poor and how it's my fault for being a cold hearted, Republican, "wealthy" American.
It is interesting how they carefully avoid mentioning the political/economic/legal systems that the "miniature earthers" live under. As if that has no bearing on the other statistics. History shows that the rule of law, recognition of property rights, and keeping governmental corruption below critical thresholds are the essential preconditions for prosperity. Ignore these and all other efforts at improving the human condition are completely wasted.
