The warped wooden gallows used more than a century ago to hang convicts in Chicago is pictured here at the previous owner's place, Donley's Wild West Town in Union, Illinois in October 2006. The gallows have been bought at auction by Ripley's Believe It or Not museums for $68,000, Mastro Auctions said on December 7, 2006. Between 1887 and 1927, 86 men were hanged from the gallows. Looks like it could stand a trip to Baghdad and back..

I'm sure Ripley's would be more than willing to wait a bit before taking receipt of the gallows.
