There is a "lack of awareness" over condom sizes A survey of more than 1,000 men in India has concluded that condoms made according to international sizes are too large for a majority of Indian men.
The study found that more than half of the men measured had penises that were shorter than international standards for condoms.
It has led to a call for condoms of mixed sizes to be made more widely available in India.
The two-year study was carried out by the Indian Council of Medical Research.
Over 1,200 volunteers from the length and breadth of the country had their penises measured precisely, down to the last millimetre.

It just goes to show that when sex is commodified, people start taking measurements in inches. Fortunately, unlike Europe, India doesn't seem to have any trouble making babies.
Oh this thread is going to be a good one. (If it doesn't get pulled).
My mind has expanded to encompass the situation at hand
It got booted over to from front page to general/chat, but that's because the editors here have a more serious idea of what news is than the BBC.
As I recall, it doesn't look that way on Indian temple friezes. But maybe those are gods.
This has so much potential for politically incorrect comments it stretches my imagination.
Lord grant me the serenity to accept the size I cannot change, the courage to change the size I can and the wisdom to figure out what Im talking about
I just got an e-mail that may help the situation...
finger cots should do
Hmmm. It must be all that outsourcing that caused this problem. All those Americans yelling at them.
My mom has one of those rubber thimble type-things... Maybe someone could use that!
I hope Indian men don't get too upset over this.
I'd hate to see them go off half-cocked.
Send them a half million of our largest condoms, label them " Small".
The whole issue makes me wonder if the Chinese commiserate.
"that were shorter than international standards.."
What standards are we talking about? ASME, Stoomwezen or perhaps DIN?
Well, I never would have believed it, but there is a wiki on the subject.
"World Health Organization specifies 5.3 cm wide condoms for Africa, 5.2 cm wide condoms for Europe, and 4.9 cm condoms for Asia."
Somehow a scene from "Deuce Bigalow, Male Gigolo" comes to mind.
You're lucky, the mods gave another a time out for a day for posting this earlier, but then again, they put it in breaking.
