"Shake an aluminum can, such as a soda can, with pebbles or nuts and bolts in it." Just in case you don't happen to have a soda can handy..

I keep antidote around, but encounters with native wildlife are frequent where I live, and I usually "live and let live"

We should make room for more Javelinas, fewer illegals.

Or train tens of thousands of javelinas to guard our southern border. Payment is any free food they can catch.

Javalina is not pork or even related to a pig.

I grew up in Tucson and as a kid I would go bow hunting with my dad for javelina. Each year a hunt would be put on to cut down their numbers, guess they don't do this any more.

Javalina is not pork or even related to a pig. Try telling that to one of my fellow rednecks, lol. Or better yet, a cajun. They'll shoot, cook and eat most anything...

They are friggin nasty though. Never heard of them myself until I visited Tucson, thinking of moving there. Then I saw the headline that 2000 rattlers had been removed from folk's homes that year. Then, I met the javelina's. Badd attitude on steroids, locals told me they gang up and kill bears.
While beautiful, Tucson is fast growing city/primordial desert. No buffer, critters and people living together.

My Shepherds would quickly acquire a taste for them, then the problem would be solved.Let the dogs dine out 3 nights a week, would save some money on dog food too.

Time to start carrying the 12 gauge on the daily walk. 00 & slugs is a wonderful thing.
Or trade in those little bug-eyed dogs for some Irish Wolfhounds.

Naw,the thighs are way too slender. And the ankles aren't fat like Hillary's...

I've seen lots of javelina around here (Sedona, AZ), but I've never heard of one attacking a human. After our La Barranca fire last summer, 3 miles from our place, I saw whole families of javelina going further afield to forage for food.

Or call a friend with one of these.
