The Dixie Chicks admitted that their awards were people using their "free speech"...which means they were given the award as a political statement and not because they were musically deserving of it.

That is fine, but they really should just change the name of the award to the Shammies as it's a sham award. Truth in advertising that way.

It was another Freeper, I wish I could remember his name that said ( and this was several years back)they should have name the awards after the Phonogram instead of the Gramaphone, thus calling them the PHONEYS!
