a brag piece of mine: a piece of lace I knitted from a badly edited pattern from 1845. Lots of typos in the original directions, and with some guessing and a lot of sweat, I came up with this:

Thanks. It was fun, but a lot of work. I mean physical work, a lot of pulling and I have sore hands and arm and back muscles now!
I just read some books over the past few years and thought it through, it really isn't all that difficult. I also have a good sewing machine that can handle the heavy sewing.
I'm doing a swivel rocker next in coordinating fabric, I have the roll here staring at me, probably will get to it after Christmas. For now, though, I have three things to finish knitting for gifts, less than two weeks away! Yikes!
Thanks for this thread, BTW. Nice to know there are some Right Wing Knitters! LOL
