CBS Discourages Religion in Christmas

A segment of "The CBS Early Show" today, hosted by Rene' Syler, included a list of "do's and don'ts" for holiday gift giving. She and her guest said it was "a bad idea" to send Christmas cards with religious themes, or with religious messages.

I thought Christ was born on this day and is the basis for the holiday celebration of Christmas. Apparantly they have lost touch with reality.

Please send a feedback comment email to the show if you feel compelled to do so. Here is the link:

Not that I know of, it was sent to me. Evidently the writer heard it while watching CBS this morning.

CBS couldn't draw a large crowd if BOTH our ass's
were naked and world class.

Religion interferes with moral relativity. Christianity's rigid rules of right and wrong don't allow for the gray area where so much of the world lives. So..., the left would just like to make it go away, or turn it to such mush that Christianity loses all meaning.

I think that I will write put Christ back in X-mas at the bottom of all my Christmas cards, or maybe on the envelope. Too bad, it's too late to have a stamp made, that would have been great.

I send Christmas cards and if the person I know is Jewish I respect their religion and send them a Hannukah card.

Kwannza worshipers can bite me. I hate this phony Kwannza made up by a west coast criminal. Now the post office has f...ing Kwanzza stamps! that's it! I hope the Kwannza headresses fall into the spinach dip during the holiday parties!!!

Wonder when the post office will claim that it is incorrect to expect mailmen to carry envelopes that have explicit religious messages on the outside.

They have to read that message as they handle the mail (if it is near the address).

At what point does an envelope enter the "public" area? Post offices are government buildings. And YOU want to write graffiti on the envelope that does nothing to ensure that the letter gets to the addressee. You just want to promote your religous beliefs < /s >

Nope, I'd put it on the back side of the envelope, on the flap. It's a matter of religious freedom, as well as a matter of freedom of speech.
