I have not seen ANY "unending defense" of the ACLU. I also went back and looked at the link to that thread again, and saw an opinion article from Townhall followed by FR posts.
I have made "flippant responses", in keeping with the display at UT, and in response have been laid into by those who have rocks inside their gloves.
It's my own fault, though; this is a site for spirited conversation, but hardly for subtlety of thought and expression.
I went back AGAIN, looked down the list, and the one solid news site, Investors Business Daily, did not have an article available any more. The rest are opinion sites, or sites with an inherent agenda. (And yes, I know the same can be said of "MSM", so I'll spare you the keystrokes).
