Why not nominate a woman this time? It might make it harder for the Dems to filibuster her nomination...I suggest Condi. As you may know, she is both Black and a Womyn so we would score 2 on our affirmative action scorecard.Better yet Madeline Albright. She'll breeze through, and would do as well as Mitchell.

I know a good choice: Orrin G. Hatch, get him out of the Senate and a Republican governor can make the appointment on a temporary successor.
