Could it be that a deal has been worked out between the White House and the Dims to throw the Dims a few bones (Rummy and John Bolton) in exchange for less oversight, investigations, etc.?

Neither do I, but I think that's doubtful. Frankly, the Dhimmicrats have so many loose cannons among them, I don't think their own leadership could get them to agree on concessions.
You don't seriously think the Democrats will agree to ANYTHING that will limit their newly reacquired power, do you?
