Oh No!
Thank you for reminding us about the interview, MM.
You said you wanted another Reagan, and you said you didn't like Bush's 'politics,' and that it was time to 'move on.'
As one for whom the sanctity of life is paramount, I don't want another Reagan, I prefer another Bush since his pro-life stance is stronger. 'Moving on' to another Reagan would be taking steps backward when it comes to the sanctity of life, which is why I asked the question.
I was just trying to understand what your beef was with this President, and frankly, you still haven't made that clear, friend.
Number two, Bush didn't 'fire' Rumsfeld. He had offered to resign previously and Bush didn't accept his resignation. This time he did.
As you well know, words mean things. Please use the accurate ones.
Given that President Bush appointed Bolton in the first place, asked Bolton to stay and was willing to fight for him (I just heard it from his OWN words, not a RUMOR from the Drudge Report). Given that he's put forth many highly qualified conservative judges (including 2 Supreme court justices). I think an argument could be made that the opposite is true. THIS thread has nothing to do with McCain-Feingold, but even if it did there's no reason resourceful conservatives can't have influential 527's as well. Sometimes WE have to help ourselves.
Given that Bush wasn't POTUS (or even on the political scene) when the educational system started tilting to the left and WE THE PEOPLE, the taxpayers just watched it happen for the past few decades instead of holding legislators, college campuses, and school districts accountable...Given that in the last election conservatives voted out (either through staying home or voting dem or 3rd party) any chance they had of at least holding the border issue where it stands and working to elect a strong border enforcement president, they've virtually insured the country will take a step backward thus making it harder to enact the kind of reform they want, I'd say a good argument could be made for conservatives being the ones who should bend over.

The herd spooks easy these days.
I didn't THINK so......
There you go!
