Tony Romo is the one to take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl and restore the balance of power in NFC, no more false leaders such as Quincy Carter, Ryan Leaf, or Drew Hansen.
The return of Dallas as the Supreme Team.
Next year, Romo, and the Cowboys will take the mantle from the New England Patriots on November 22nd, 2007 and the face each other in a Duel of Fates.

I am glad they won, again, but the outdo the Aikman/Smith/Irving era is going to take some time. As a diehard fan I will live and die by them each year, but to go off the deep end like the bandwagon lemmings are about to do, ... no thanks, not yet.
Nice ride, Cowboy(s)nice ride.

Drew Bledsoe is once again type-cast as Wally Pipp. Sorry about that Drew.

As great at Staubach was, he still wasn't on the level of Aikman. But I think the most important thing is for Jones to let Parcells build a team, because the problems that began in the mid-90's were all because Jones kept interfering with the coaching staff (at least IMHO).

I think the level of play is better than 1991/1992 (Lost to Detroit in the playoffs), but not as good as 1992/1993 (Super Bowl XXVII winner).

Tony Romo is the real deal and Bill Parcells is a dumbass for sticking with sad-sack Drew Bledsoe all this time and not putting Romo in sooner.
It remains to be seen whether Tony Romo rises to Tom Brady's level.

Romo showed a lot by overcoming his bad first half and hung in there to pull the game out.

am glad they won, again, but the outdo the Aikman/Smith/Irving era is going to take some time. Yes, it will. This team plays well, but we may never again see a juggernaut like the Cowboys of the mid- 1990's. For that matter, the 49'ers and Broncos of the same era were brilliant.
In those days the Cowboys just rolled over teams with reckless abandon. There was no mystery to our game plan either. We were just that good.
Unfortunately free agency and impatient owners have made that kind of team building very difficult. How New England has met with such success I don't know, but I doubt they would win against the 1994 Cowboys, 1995 49ers, or late 90's Broncs.
