Good morning!
Good Morning All. Snowy landscape and mid 20's and we had a visitor at breakfast..LSA spotted a hawk in the neighbors tree and we watched it swoop down to perch on the fence. In a flash our formerly backyard full of birds (cardinals, mourning doves, sparrows, nuthatches) and a couple squirrels all made themselves quite scarce. The hawk made a pass at the yew bush (full of sparrows)and perched on the 4X4 fence post by the wood rack. By the time I got the batteries in the camera, the hawk departed. What kind you ask? Red-shouldered hawk - Buteo lineatus.
