Well, I got my seeds in the sprouters. I'm going to do a few more flowers and a few less veggies this year. When my back got bad last year a lot of food went to waste because I couldn't get it picked and processed in time. This year I'm on track to have enough leave accumulated to have a 'use or lose' scenario so I plan on taking gorgeous sunny days off this spring to work in the garden. My team leader cracked me up because I told him about my plan and his face lit up, "That's a really good idea!"

Next weekend I think I'll start turning beds, weather permitting. 2J - last year you put radishes and turnips in early. How early did you do that? I've got buckets of radish seeds to use up. Big'ol loves them. Me? Not so much.

I finished my "start indoors" seeds today with marigolds, zinnias, and verbena. The weather's supposed to be good all week so I'll get some beds turned and hopefully I can get some peas planted.

My catnip bed is established. At least one neighbor cat has been rolling in it and it's putting out leaves.
