I can tell you that there are some sweet compassionate caring nurses out there (that I believe without a doubt are conservative voters) and there are also controlling bitter women who become nurses out of some perceived power trip (who are usually hate all men except for the dreamy Bill Clinton.)

I've had a couple of run-in's with the latter. But that probably doesn't surprise you. :-)

Well, I could sortof be convinced of her need to see it... but I resented it because it hurt a lot for her to undo the support we'd made if she wasn't prepared to provide a splint, or something, after she'd seen it. She didn't give us anything! We waited more than an hour with me just sortof having to hold it with my other hand. We didn't want to re-wrap it, because I certainly didn't want to have to go through the unwrapping again before x-ray.
