The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

What a neat show that is. I'm absolutely enchanted with the Japanese kids.

Heh, yeah, that's one of our favorite shows this year.

Did you recognize the Russian Consul?

I didn't get out today, except for Gypsy's two walks. She had her "day of beauty" today, and looks so pretty again. She is the rumpliest looking dog we've ever had if she's not clipped! I did get more wallpaper stripped, three loads of wash in, out and folded, shirts ironed and groceries shopped. LSA

He reminds me of Leland Palmer from Twin Peaks, but I don't think it's the same guy.

I've totally got the wrong season in mind.

Yep, Leland appeared last season IIRC. However, I'll give you a hint: the actor playing the Russian Consul had a role in the LOTR movies.

(I didn't recognize him until I read it on the live thread...)

Ah...I noted in the previews that he looked familiar, but I couldn't place him.

...Is it John Noble?

I didn't recognize him at all until they mentioned it on the live thread.

At the start of the text you want to "white out", put this: < font color="white" > (with the spaces taken out) then at the end of the text put this: < /font > (again, with the spaces taken out).

That'll do the trick.

There should still be a space between font and color...was that the problem, maybe?

The only spaces that come out of what Bear wrote are the ones next to the < and >.

Hey - when you come over for Jack, can we borrow your cat carrier? I guess ours is still up at the beach house.
