I do remember going to CA when I was 15 with a couple of friends to see the US Festival in 1983. So many good bands were there. Heavy Metal Sunday was the best day of the 3 day event. Judas Priest, Ozzie.

I'll bet you had fun. In 1976, some friends and I spent $3.50 each for tickets to the "A Star is Born" concert in Tempe, AZ at Sun Devil Stadium. The cast of characters who performed were Montrose, Santana, Kris Kristofferson, Babs (yes, she had a foul mouth even back then), Peter Frampton, and some others whose names I don't recall. We were there from 5:30Am to 5:30PM.

I am a couple of years younger than you, but was so jealous of anyone that went to the US festival. Of course I lived in Chicago at the time. Did'nt Halen play there too?
