Lindsay Lohan's a mildly literate Hollywood ditz, but she tried to express sincere feelings in her letter to Robert Altman's family. I cut her some slack on this one.

Exactly. I mean, she worked with him on his last film, which just was released this summer. What would you expect her to do?

BTW, regardless of Altman's politics, his last movie, "Prairie Home Companion," was an excellent film that most freepers would probably enjoy if they want more then big explosions. It's got excellent music, good acting, and a message about preserving a community that most freepers would like.

(Yes, you could also say that it's portrayal of the tragedy of a small radio show being eaten by a big corporation is anti-capitalist, but just because modernization must happen, and is usually benefitial in the long run, is no reason to not recognize that there are always tradeoffs, and that it is right and appropriate to morn the passing of some things that must pass.)

Lindsay Lohan is a charter member of the Holllywood liberal cabal given to frequent, self-satisfied sniping at President Bush's purported "imbecility." You wanna talk trash about how Nolan Ryan pitches, you'd better have a decent fastball in your own repertoire. :)
