LOL! One of my husband's frequent complaints is that I "make him talk too much." He can't understand how I can spend time "talking" to people on the internet, and his e-mails to relatives are frequently under 50 words.

A lot of truth in this, which both sexes should use for greater understanding.

and his e-mails to relatives are frequently under 50 words.

When I started e-mailing one of my aunts several years ago, she always said that she wanted to get a "newsy" e-mail from me. IOW, my e-mail's were oftentimes very short.  Dad's e-mail's to his sister are oftentimes short too. LOL

My dear departed grandmother on the other hand though, she'd send snail mail letters to friends and relatives on stationery paper, and they were often times several pages long.

I will always remember getting her letters when I was in college.  She'd write up a very newsy letter and put a stick of Wrigley's Spearmint gum in with the letter.  She always loved giving us kids a stick of gum, even when us kids would come over to visit her and grandpa.

:)
